JULIE A. KING, Esq.

Julie A. King focuses her practice on estate planning and administration, probate, closely held business planning, tax-exempt organizations and charitable giving. She represents individuals, business and land owners throughout Virginia.

Julie works with individuals and families in developing estate plans that accomplish both tax and personal goals, including ownership succession issues, the use of limited liability companies (LLCs), family limited partnerships (FLPs) and other techniques to transfer assets.  She represents individual and corporate executors and trustees in matters including probate, will contests and other estate disputes, fiduciary compensation issues, and proceedings to modify and interpret will and trust documents. 

In 2016, Julie was awarded the Virginia Department of Forestry Crown Award, presented by Virginia State Forester Bettina Ring, for her work in assisting and educating forest landowners through the Generation Next landowner workshop program.

Peter Holmes joined Julie A. King, PLC as a legal assistant in January of 2012. Having had numerous positions over the previous 20 years in the title insurance business, his primary endeavors at our firm involve land records research and deed preparation.
